Join us in the first annual Arnold Yogathon, where we welcome yogis of all levels and practices from around the world to practice with us from 4-9pm. We will rotate world class instructors every 20 minutes so that you get an variety of yoga experiences. The earlier you come and the later you stay, the more raffle prizes you could win. Tickets help to benefit yoga outreach to underserved communities.
“Adult Recess” blends traditional yoga movements with Pilates, kickboxing some dancing and a lot of laughing. You’ll have a blast with him as he shows you a new way to view a yoga class! This workshop is for those who want to learn more about the format, try something new, or instructors who want to gain new ideas for their classes. Metta Stick Yoga blends the strength of a fitness class, the balance of a yoga class, the control of a martial arts class, the flexibility of a dance class and the mindfulness of a metta or loving-kindness meditation into a powerful format good for all fitness and yoga levels.
The workshop includes a 60 minute master class & 30 minute workshop; all participants will leave with your own Metta stick and a Metta Stick yoga manual.
World-renowned yogi provocateur, Daniel Scott, is in town to lead two different workshops introducing the FeetUp! Best known for making seemingly impossible movement actually possible, Daniel will help make your inversions easier and more safe while exploring dynamic range of movement using the full support of the FeetUp Trainer $25 per workshop/class $40 if you sign up for both sessions (FeetUp 101 and Upside Down/Inside Out ). FeetUp Trainers will be provided for each class. Space is limited.
Yoga has been found to be an effective form of rehabilitating those who are incarcerated. Release Forward concept developer, Julie Wilkes has taught over 1000 hours in the prison/jail systems and has developed this program to bring yoga into our prisons/jails. She currently has contracts with several states and can help you to find a connection into your criminal justice system.
